I’m writing this from my favourite spot on the couch and marveling at the pink blossoms and bright green leaves on the tree outside my window. Spring is finally here and it feels so good! The sun is shining, there’s a fresh pedicure on my toes, my three-year-old is napping, and my second trimester belly is feeling the tickles of a wee babe growing inside. I’m really excited about what the next few months to a year holds for our family, and I wanted to share one of those things with you now.
If you’ve been following along on MommyMannegren, you’ll know that I’ve been blogging since December 2014. The blog has evolved a lot over that time as I’ve narrowed my niche — part of which has been trying to fill a need for faith-based discussions around grief, pregnancy loss, and other difficult motherhood conversations. The past six months have been amazing for this blog in terms of growth and visitors to the site. I’ve had more visitors to my blog since December than I’ve had in the past three years combined and that’s SUPER exciting for me.
A highlight on this blogging journey has always been hearing from those who’ve stumbled across my blog and have felt less alone in their own journeys. A majority of my older blog posts continue to get new traffic and visitors each day, and I know that these conversations about hope and grief are still so very needed. It’s been really incredible to see God at work both in our story and in the lives of those whom I’ve had the privilege of getting to know through this blog. I know that He is not finished yet!
It’s difficult, therefore, when my blog feels like it’s at a peak to take a step back. However, I am hoping to focus a bit more on some of my other writing and I wanted to be able to commit fully to that for a while.
So, with that in mind, I will be taking a little break from blogging for the next few months.
I plan to keep you all updated with this pregnancy/new baby, keep on sharing book reviews, and whatever else may pop into mind — but I just won’t be sharing or updating this site as frequently. (I will still be doing some guest posting for other sites, so be sure to follow along with me on Facebook to see those!)
Again, huge thanks to everyone who has followed along with me thus far! I’m not going anywhere, just taking a small pause, so continue to stick around and see what happens! 🙂
Love to you all,
